With a sigh, you picked up a towel and began wiping down the tables at Grillby's. It had been a very long day of work and you and Grillby had worked late into the night serving customers. It was around three AM and you were just ready to go home and rest for the night.
But to your disappointment, you still had quite a few jobs to do before Grillby's officially closed for the night. Sweep the floors, wipe off the counter, restock the shelves, mop the kitchen and wash the dishes. At least Grillby was here to help you close up, though that was his job.
Speaking of Grillby, he walked in from the back and grabbed the broom. "I've mopped the kitchen and restocked the shelves," He spoke, his flames were crackling and burning a bright orange.
"Alright, thanks babe." You replied as you moved onto wiping off the next table.
You two had been dating for around ten months now, that means you've been working at Grillby's for a little over a year. After two months of working at Grillby's you two were closing like every other night when he confessed that he liked you. Lucky for him, you had a major crush on him as well.
You blushed when you thought back to your first kiss, you had been dating for two weeks when he took you out to dinner at a fancy restaurant for your Birthday. When a slow dance came on, he guided you to the dancefloor and swayed you back and forth. After the five minute dance, he leaned down and kissed you gently on the lips which made his bright orange flames burn even brighter. You kissed him back, your cheeks turning a bright pink.
The kiss had been pleasantly warm, not overly hot like you had feared. His flames were not hot to the touch, they were only cozily warm. Whenever you were cold you could cuddle with him, it warmed you up almost instantly and was much better than a silly old blanket.
That dance had been wonderful, the way your (f\c) dress swayed back and forth as you danced was a wonderful sight. Grillby had taken every step carefully and precisely. Never once did he mess up on his steps, you had no idea he was such a good dancer.
"(Y\N), can you please go wash the dishes?" Grillby's voice tore you from your thoughts.
"Oh, sure." You responded as you set the rag down and made your way into the back.
You went to the sink, slung a towel over your shoulder and began washing the glass cups. Grillby couldn't wash the glasses since he was made of fire. A few drops of water weren't that harmful to him but, washing dishes was pretty much a death sentence.
You looked at the massive pile of dishes and sighed, Grillby really should invest in a dishwasher or something. This was always your job and as much as you didn't mind helping, doing all these dishes was taking a toll on your hands. Maybe you should buy some gloves, that seemed like a good idea.
After an hour of washing dishes, you had finally finished. You breathed a sigh of relief and stepped back, looking at your hard work proudly. You put the rag over the side of the sink and wiped some sweat from your brow.
The glasses were all set in their proper places and ready for the next business day. But once tomorrow ended, you'd have to wash the cups all over again, it was almost like a never ending cycle. But, that was normal for any bar or restaurant.
You were suddenly torn from your thoughts when all of the sudden, "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley came on. You curiously walked back into the dining area of the bar and your gaze flicked to Grillby who was leaning against the wall next to the jukebox.
He looked over at you almost immediately and seemed to smile. "Care to dance, (y\n)?" He asked you as he stood up straight and adjusted his glasses.
You felt your cheeks heat up as you quickly took off your apron and hung it up on the door. "Why of course, Grillby." You responded as you walked over to him.
He took your hand and led you to an open area, he got his hands in position and started taking the steps to a slow dance. You followed along and were very careful not to step on his feet.
As you two swayed back and forth, you began to listen closely to the lyrics of the song.
"Shall I stay, would it be a sin?
Like a river flows, surely to the sea
Darling so it goes, some things are meant to be.
Take my hand, take my whole life too,
For I can't help, falling in love with you.
Shall I stay, would it be a sin?
Like a river flows, surely to the sea
Darling so it goes, some things are meant to be.
Take my hand, take my whole life too,
For I can't help, falling in love with you.
For I can't help, falling in love with you."
Once the song had stopped, Grillby stepped back and took your hand and kissed it. The warmth of his lips sent a shiver down your spine and you felt yourself blush once more.
"My love," He whispered softly as he gently pulled you closer to him.
You blushed and looked at his orange flames, they now had a pink tint to them.
"Y-yes?" You responded to him softly.
"I love you so much," He responded quietly.
He leaned down and placed his lips upon yours, the familiar warmth surrounded your body as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around your waist in return and he deepened the kiss.
The kiss was filled with such passion, such ardor, such love... You couldn't imagine being with anyone other than Grillby right now.
You were suddenly caught by surprise when Grillby pushed you against the wall, deepening the kiss even more. He had never taken your kisses this far before, you didn't even know he was capable of this.
Not long after this, you had to push him away to breathe. You panted heavily and looked up and him with rosy cheeks. "I-I love you t-too." You spoke with a smile appearing on your lips.
"Love, thank you for everything you have done for me." Grillby spoke as he walked over to one of the tables, taking a flower out of its vase.
"It's no problem! I-I really enjoy working with you." You stuttered.
He walked back to you and shortened the stem on the flower, he tucked the flower behind your ear and smiled.
"You're so beautiful," He breathed.
You looked away bashfully until you could regain your composure, when that happened, you turned back to fire entity and held his hand gently.
"And, you're so handsome." You replied to him, your (e\c) eyes bright.
"I love you," He whispered as he pulled you into a hug.
You wrapped your arms around him in return before you replied with a soft and confident "I love you too Grillbz.".

Soul on Fire Chapter 1 Grillby X Reader
I closed my eyes as I leaned my back against the strong oak tree I was sitting underneath. I was a beautiful day out. The sun was shining, birds were singing, flowers were blooming. On days like today kids like me were being put through Hell.
I took a deep breath in holding it for a bit before I released it. There was war going on. Humans and monsters had been living together for a while now but just recently humans decided they couldn’t live with monsters anymore. I couldn’t quite understand why. Most of my friends were monsters; they are more accepting than the humans.
I heard the snap of a stick and immediately opened my eyes

Soul on Fire Chapter 4 Grillby X Reader
We rode through the woods and in the morning light the forest looked as if it was on fire. That could have also been from the fire elemental behind. Either way it was beautiful.
We rode for a few hours in complete silence. Occasionally Grillby would take a hand off the reign and put it on my shoulder. I would nod my head assuming it was his way of asking if I was okay. The sun was high in the sky when we reached the gates of another monster camp. It looked heavily guarded. They saw Grillby coming and already had the gate open and we rode straight into the camp.
I felt a tightness in my chest upon seeing the camp. ‘I shouldn’t be

Sans x Reader: How would you feel about a 'date'?
Read INTRO first! Link is in description along with all the others in the Val Time One-Shot group! *Hides*
The gift that you were focusing on at the moment was for the most popular jokester in school, Sans.
The said skeleton seemed to pop up everywhere, always making puns and messing around, and you couldn’t quite help but like the guy. You weren’t even completely sure that he went to your school, but there he was in the cafeteria in the morning and at lunch. There wasn’t a single time you saw him in a class, but then again, he might just not be in your classes. He might not even be in your grade.
